Bennie O. Dinwiddie, 88, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, February 23rd at his daughter�s home where he lived. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 25th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, February 26th in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO. Bennie was born October 27, 1916 in Morgan County, MO to Thatcher and Rosa (Chilcoat) Dinwiddie. He worked for Davison Chemical in Joplin, MO. After coming to Kansas City, he was a member of the IUOE local #101 for 26 years. In his spare time he liked golfing and swimming. He was family oriented and was greatly loved He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Frank E. Forgey of Independence, MO; son and daughter-in-law Ken O. and Reba J. Dinwiddie of Joplin, MO; daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Cecil Wall of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Ceann Robins, Kathy Gray, Frankie Forgey, Jr., Brian Dinwiddie, Janell Napierskie, Johnnie Mead, Michael Mead, Scott Wall, Tammy Henderson; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law Donilee and Bonnie Dinwiddie of Independence, MO. Bennie was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1976 and 3 brothers and 1 sister.
