Paul Dismang, 62 of Independence MO passed away Tuesday, April 30th 2013. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3rd at Carson Speaks Chapel; 1501 W Lexington Ave. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 6th at Lowery Cemetery, west of Lebanon, MO
Paul was born August 7th 1950 in Lebanon, MO to Calvin and Lydia Faye (Pruitt) Dismang. He graduated William Chrisman High School in 1968. In 1970, he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. He was a telecommunications person for the 25th Infantry. When Paul left the Army in 1972 he returned home and worked for the City of Independence for over 38 years. He started in the Parks Department and most recently worked as Assistant Foreman of Public Works. Paul was a fan of Nascar’s Dale Earnhardt watching races and enjoying his Marlboro’s and Coca-Cola. He and his companion of 18 years dreamed of someday seeing the Australian outback. Paul is loved and will be missed.
He is survived by companion, Linda Tonahill of Independence; cousin, Danny Dismang and wife Marilyn of Lebanon, MO; and he lovingly acted as Papa to Linda’s seven grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Judith, Phil, Bill, and Albert Dismang; mother, Faye Weber; stepfather, Joe Weber; and Calvin Dismang.
