Donna Jean Sites

Donna Jean Sites, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on October 23, 2025, in Blue Springs, Missouri where she spent the majority of her life. Born on October 25, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, Donna's life was a tapestry of devotion, hard work, and unyielding spirit.

Throughout her life, Donna displayed an unmatched work ethic and a zest for living. In her younger years, she worked as a hairdresser before transitioning into the telecommunications field, serving as an operator at Southwestern Bell and later retiring from AT&T as an Account Executive. Even after retirement, she could never sit still—her heart and hands always found work to engage in, contributing her time and energy at Kauffman Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium and TJ Maxx, where she enjoyed connecting with others.

Donna's nurturing spirit truly defined her. She was not just a hard worker; she was a devoted daughter to her late parents, Dave and Gladys Erwin, making numerous sacrifices to care for them. Her compassion extended to her children, Mike Daleo and his wife Teresa, and Bob Daleo and his wife Chris, as she lovingly embraced the role of a mother. Her heart welcomed the joys of grandchildren, with Tyler, Garrett and Kate. Donna's legacy blossomed further with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Emery, Riley, Ryder, Ember, Lorelei, Blake, Brooke and Major.

Though she had a spicy side that kept everyone on their toes, Donna's big heart was the true essence of her being. Friends and family alike will remember her as a very special woman, whose passion for life and unwavering dedication to those she loved made her irreplaceable.

As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Donna's spirit lives on through the countless lives she touched. Her joy, resilience, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sinclair's Restaurant in Blue Springs, November 29th from 4-7.
