Marguerite Dorrell

Marguerite E. Dorrell, 74, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 27, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Marguerite was born Jan. 31, 1933 in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #329 in Independence. She worked with troubled young people in the Jackson County Youth Court. Marguerite enjoyed reading and painting.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Dorrell. She is survived by daughter Debra L. Leach and husband Bill, Independence, MO; sons James Paul Dorrell and wife Sandy, Lone Jack, MO; Michael K. Dorrell and wife Susan; Buckner, MO; sisters Betty Ann Gooden and husband Wayne, Texas; Elizabeth Barber and husband Bob, Florida; grandchildren Sandra Bishop, Christine Cleveland; James Steven Dorrell, Stormy Dorrell, Shaun Dorrell, Christopher Dorrell; and ten great-grandchildren.
