Wilmoth "Bill" Dorrell

Bill Dorrell, 79, of Overland Park, KS, passed away February 6, 2013. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 9, at Heritage United Methodist Church, 12850 Quivira Road, Overland Park, KS. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. Bill was born August 16, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Wilmoth and Margaret (Gerhardt) Dorrell. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1956-1958. After 34 years, Bill retired from USDA Farm Service Agency, where he had worked as a computer specialist. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marsha Dorrell; one daughter, Shari Lindsay; three stepchildren, Dan Dodge, Rusty Dodge and Tina Kohpay; as well as eleven grandchildren. Contributions may be sent to the Kansas City Hospice House.
