Stephen Lynn Dothard, 49, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Friday, November 27th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, November 28th at the chapel.
Steve was born July 21, 1966 in Piedemont, AL to Clyde and Betty (Bragg) Dothard. He worked for numerous years at Jay Co where he enjoyed doing custom paint jobs on vehicles. For the last seven years he worked for Midway Ford where he excelled as their Collision Technician. He married his beloved Tiffany Michelle (Bryant) on February 18, 2001. They had 23 years of love and fun together going on float trips in Noel, MO; loving on their basset hound, Sampson; riding his motorcycles; eating out with friends; and bonding with their family. He had a strong work ethic but also knew how to play hard. He took care of people, loved animals, was artistic and detail oriented. His family remembers his sense of humor, his always sunny disposition, and his high moral character. Steve is loved and will be missed.
Survivors include wife, Tiffany of the home; daughter, Ashley Moore (C.J. Lambert) of Keytesville, MO; grandchildren Chloe Kay and Julian Porter Lambert; brother, Sven Rodeen (Georgia) of Independence, MO; sister, Lenora “Lee” O’Neill of Boise, ID; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Shelton, Joe Moore, and “Bo,” Gus, and Felicia Rodeen; special friends, Dennis Swoger, Jason Allen and Ron Clasen; in-laws, Bill and Mary K. Brown; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Bryant; sister-in-law Tracey Mixon; and numerous other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
