Lawrence Douglas, 59, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, August 10, 2015. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13th at Speaks Suburban Chapel.
Larry was born December 24th, 1955 in Tulsa, OK. He was raised up on the reservation with his family. As an adult he worked for Payless Cashways and Owen Lumber as a Lumber Salesman for many years. He married his beloved Sally Ann (Birch) on November 28, 1982. He enjoyed dancing, drinking, and being with friends. He played guitar in a country western band and participated in competition BBQ cooking. Larry also enjoyed fishing, boating, his motorcycle, and working on classic cars like his El Camino. His family and friends remember him as fun loving and adventurous.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sally of the home; mother Catherine Marie Lucas of Sacramento, CA; children, John Lee Seemann (Teresita Simental) of Independence, MO; and Tina Marie Wolverton (Joseph R.) of Grain Valley, MO; grandchildren, Joshua Seemann, Kyle Carroll, Brandon Carroll, and Nathan Wolverton; great grandchildren, Alexia Marie Carroll; brother, Donald Lee Douglas; sister, Sheila George; half brothers, Charles and David Douglas; and half sister, Ginger Burnell. He was preceded in death by his father Herold Eugene Douglas; half brother, Phillip Burnell; and half sister, Bobbie Marie Burnell.
