Michelle Renet Wilson-Douthat, 49, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011.
A celebration of Michelle’s Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Red Cross or the National Stroke Foundation.
Michelle was born August 16, 1962 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of William Henry and Glenda Kay (Allen) Wilson. She was a 1980 graduate of Wm Chrisman High School and attended Penn Valley Metropolitan Community College and studied respiratory therapy for 2 years at St. Luke’s. Michelle was employed with Morgan-Wightman Supply for ’84 to ’94, and for Transamerica Life from ’94-2009. She was currently with Hanthorn Early Education Center in Independence as the principal’s secretary. She enjoyed shopping, reality shows and most of all attending her children’s sporting events.
Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Trent Douthat; children Jake and Jill Douthat; parents, Bill and Glenda Wilson, sisters Susan Barnett and husband Joe; and Billie Branham and husband Mike all of Independence; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and family.
