Roberta “Bobbie” Downey, 103, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. Bobbie was born November 6, 1918 in Odessa, Missouri to Raleigh Lee and Susie D. Fizer. She is survived by her children, Jan Guenther and husband Sam, Ronald Downey, and wife Karen; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jan Downey; and very close friend, Mike Feils. Bobbie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Ira V. “Bud” Downey; and son, Rick Vernon Downey.
