Helen Irene (Dieckmann) Drecktrah, 74, Napoleon, MO passed away Oct. 6, 2015. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Oct. 9 at St. Paul’s Church, 205 Hill St., Napoleon, MO 64074; interment at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO 64016. The family requests contributions to St. Paul’s Church Sunday School or Music Fund. Helen was born to Clemmons William Fredrich Dieckmann and Irene Emma (Kronshage) Dieckmann on March 21, 1941 in Kansas City, MO and lived in the Napoleon area all her life. She was a life-long member of the church where she taught the Nursery Sunday School Class for forty years and sang in the choir. She worked at Wellington-Napoleon School for twenty-one years in the cafeteria. She was also a prolific seamstress and quilter who made forty-one wedding gowns, other dresses and tuxedos for two-hundred thirty-nine weddings. She was a member of the Nap-Well Club. Helen is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Roy August Drecktrah; daughter Connie Marie Drecktrah and husband Scott McCarthy; son Robert Allan Drecktrah and wife Lisa; grandchildren Justin McCarthy and wife Nicole; Brett Fairchild and wife Cody; Kelsey McCarthy, Bryce Drecktrah and Elijah Adams.
