Christopher John Duboc died suddenly on his way to work in Zurich, Switzerland on October 18th, 2011.
He was employed by Swiss Re Insurance as the Director of Operations Departments. Christopher was born March 9th 1956 in Waltham, MA. He graduated from Purdue University in 1978 and later received a Master’s degree in Computer Aided Industrial Design from Brigham Young University. He was an avid sportsman and an accomplished trap and skeet shooter. Other passions included golf, great wine, reading and the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He was involved in many charities including Habitat for Humanity, The Boy Scouts of America and Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. While living in Switzerland for the last 3 years, he was involved with Troop 684 of the Transatlantic Council and was also on the board for The American Club of Zurich.
He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty years, Holly, a son Sam, a daughter Emilie and a grandson Colten Bayless, two brothers, Sam and Fred and a sister, Jennifer.
Memorial services include a visitation at 5pm and a service to follow at 6pm and will be held at The Woods Chapel United Methodist Church; 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lees Summit, MO on Monday, October 24, 2011. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donation be sent in Christopher’s memory to Habitat for Humanity or Boy Scouts of America-Heart of America Council, Kansas City.
