Charles Duckett

Charles E. “Gene” Duckett, 73, of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, April 07, 2008 at Shangri La Rehab and Living Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2008 at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shangri La Rehab and Living Center, 930 NE Duncan Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64014. Gene was born March 31, 1935 in Stella, MO to Homer and Alice (May) Duckett. He was a member of the local Heavy Equipment Operators Union #663 for 27 years. Mr. Duckett loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Collene (Hutchinson) Duckett; daughters Debra Thresher, Paula Duckett, Tammy Bilbruck; grandchildren Kelly, Kristin Thresher, and Bobby Thresher, Jr.; great-granddaughter Adrienne Looker; sisters Helen Denton, Chris Fowler; brother Dean Duckett; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
