Marlene Rose Dyck, 58, Independence, MO passed away May 15, 2008. Services will be 10 am, Wed., May 21, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests contributions to a Memorial Scholarship Fund being established for the Center Place Restoration School.
Marlene was born May 14, 1950 in Independence and grew up in Lee’s Summit. She graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and attended Graceland College. She was an accounting technician at the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture for nearly twenty years. She was a member of the Restoration RLDS Church. She was an avid quilter and crafter.
Marlene is survived by her husband, John Dyck, of the home; daughters Amanda Zwiener and husband Chris, Grain Valley, MO; Rachel Woods, Denver, CO; Angela Muether and husband Mathew, Monticello, IL; son Ryan Woods, Columbia, MO; step-daughters Jennifer Ewasiuk; Sara Ewasiuk, both of Vancouver, BC, Canada; mother Betty Leideke and husband Len; father Warren Wheatley and wife Virginia, all of Warrensburg, MO; brothers Charles Wheatley and wife Christine, Independence, MO; Ken Wheatley and fiancée Connie Gross, Gladstone, MO; Darrel Wheatley and wife Kristin, Auburn, ME; sister Luanne Hanford, Dallas, TX; brother Brent Wheatley and wife Marcie, Olathe, KS; sister Beth Martens and husband Joel, Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Hannah, Cordelia, Paige and Elsa Zwiener.
