Marjorie Jean Dye, 80 of Independence, passed away Mon. Apr. 23, 2007 at her home. Services will be 10:00 am Fri. Apr. 27, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 pm Thursday at the chapel. Mrs. Dye was born on Mar. 11, 1927 to John and Bertha (Seek) Hill in Richmond, MO. She had previously worked for Sears for over 20 years. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing and doing other crafts. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Rockwood Baptist Church for over fifty years. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Leonard Dye of Independence. A daughter Marilyn Weimer and husband Jerry of Independence; two grandchildren, Stacey Lewis of Oak Grove, MO and Chris Weimer of Independence. Six great grandsons, three step great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
