Shelda Eads, 75, of Independence, MO passed away September 26, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be from 5-7 pm Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. Shelda was born on May 14, 1942 in West Chester, IA to Paul and Dorothy (Lynn) Butterbaugh. Shelda was a life long member of the VFW in Sugar Creek, and was their bar manager for over 25 years. She loved to play Bingo and the slots at the boats. Shelda was a supportive mother, who loved her children and grandchildren very much. Her motto in life was to treat others as you would want to be treated. Shelda would never turn anyone away that needed her help. Survivors include; son Sparky Eads and his partner Connie Hart; son Jim Eads and his wife Debbie; son John Kolosik and his wife Linda; daughter Tonia Shepherd; daughter Michelle Eads; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers Ty Butterbaugh and Don Butterbaugh; a large extended family and many friends. Shelda is preceded in death by her husband Harold Eads and a sister Penny Butterbaugh.
