Mabel Eckles Mccutchan

Mabel A. Eckles McCutchan, 96, Independence MO, formerly of Creston IA passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. Cremation with burial following at a later date.
Mabel was born Jan. 17, 1917 in Union County, IA. She graduated from Lenox, High School. She was a nurse’s aide at Greater Community Hospital in Creston for over twenty years. She was a past President of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary in Creston. She was a quilter who also loved ceramics.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Edward Eckles, son David Eckles and brother Kenneth Schofield. She is survived by daughter Diane McLaughlin, Independence, MO; son Charlie Eckles and wife Barbara, Excelsior Springs, MO; sister Elizabeth Brooks and husband Don, Marana, AZ; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and six great-great-children.
