Loretta E. Edie, 74, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her home.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Loretta was born April 8, 1935 in Independence, MO the daughter of John William and Susie Jane (Culp) Fields. She was employed with Wal-Mart as a cashier for 23 years, retiring in 2005. Loretta enjoyed painting, shopping, and antique shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Loretta was preceded in death by 3 sisters; 1 brother and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Debby Clark and her husband Larry of Nashville, TN; sons, Terry Harris of Independence; and Andy Edie and his wife Shelley of Blue Springs; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
