Dean Edison

Dean Edison, 80, of Independence, MO went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Thursday, February 25 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence. Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, Feb. 26 at the Chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Dean was born on May 17, 1929 in Lebanon, MO to Fred and Effie (Harper) Eidson. On November 29, 1952 he married Julia Sheridan and together raised four daughters. Dean enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and his family was his world. He will truly be missed by all and will be remembered for his unique sayings and special nicknames for everyone.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife Julia Edison, his parents, siblings: Alvie, C.G., and Bobby Eidson and Dottie Eidson; and son-in-law George Altabas Jr. He is survived by four daughters: Pam Altabas; Trena Hallavant and husband John, Kim Detel, and Delisa Borchert and husband Shawn; seven grandchildren: Justin and Krista Detel, Tamara (Hallavant) Boles and husband Steve, Jackie Hallavant, Jordan, Brandon, and Brody Borchert; and sister Mary Johnson.
