Bonny (Chesnut) Edwards, of Independence, loving wife and sister, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, two days before her sixty-sixth birthday. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO. Services will be at
1 pm, Sat., Dec. 4, at New Hope Baptist Church, Hc 19, Lebanon, MO; interment at New Hope Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Grandview, MO 64137.
Bonny graduated in 1962 from Southeast High School in Kansas City. She was an executive secretary for the American Hereford Association for thirty-one years before retiring in 1995. She then served as the office manager for The Mop Bucket in NKC. She was loving, kind, hard-working and spent much of her time caring for others. Bonny had a special love for all animals and spent much time feeding and enjoying animals, both domestic and wild.
Bonny was preceded in death by her parents Grace (Barnett) Chesnut and Joseph Claud Chesnut. She is survived by her husband L.D. Edwards; sisters Betty Newport and Judy Chesnut.
Bonny was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
