Gloria Jean Edwards, 66, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kansas City Hospice House or the American Heart Association.
Gloria was born March 26, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Martin and Alice (Julian) Tittsworth. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1964 and was united in marriage to Dale Edwards on February 11, 1967. Together they shared 45 years of happiness. Gloria was a girl scout leader in Ft. Devens, MA, served as President of enlisted Wives Club, managed the Thrift Store in F.R.G., and served as treasury of girl scouts of Northern Germany.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband Dale Edwards; son Kevin Edwards; daughter Lisa Rockers; granddaughters Portia, Reagan and Tatum Rockers; grandson Shawn McNair.
