Irene Ehrenhardt, 91, of Independence, MO passed away April 9, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, April 14, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Outreach International. Irene was born May 22, 1917 in Knob Noster, MO to Lilburn and Cecile (Inman) Snow. Her family moved to Independence, MO when she was two years old. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1935. Irene married Charles Edwin Ehrenhardt on February 19, 1936. Irene retired from the Lake City Armament Plant. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Edwin Ehrenhardt; and one brother, C. V. Snow. She is survived by one brother, Lilburn A. Snow and wife Elva of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Vera Henderson, Georgie Anderson, Alice Shakespear and husband Charles, all of Independence, MO; sister-in-law, Helen Snow of Lee’s Summit, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
