Cleo Elliott

Cleo Elliott, 89, formerly of Independence, MO passed away July 16, at the Camden Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. A graveside service will immediately follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Cleo was born January 9, 1920 in Collins, MO to Elmer and Eva (Bird) Elliott. He was a proud long-time member of the Ararat Shrine. Cleo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joye Lou Elliott; one son, Danny Elliott; and one grandson, Jonathon MacNevin. He is survived by one son, Don Elliott and wife Charlotte; one daughter, Becky Fouts and husband Kirby; five grandchildren, Ginger Freeman, Cindy Cook, Johnnie Elliott, Brandy Fouts, Steven Fouts; six great grandchildren, Bill Cook, Rachael Freeman, Sidney Elliott, Johnnie Elliott, Haley Hedrick and Gage Brown-Elliott; two sisters, Annie Anderson and Ruby Dempsey; and one brother, Elmer Elliott.
