Sherry Deane Emmert, 59, of Grain Valley, MO was born on the 25th of September 1948, to her proud parents Marjorie and Lee Rowe, and peacefully passed away at her home on August 20, 2008 after a brief illness. Sherry was the proverbial “Angel on Earth” whose life enriched and brought joy to all she touched. She truly dedicated her life to helping others, both family and friends alike. She was first and foremost a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met, always putting their needs ahead of her own. Sherry loved and respected all of God’s creatures and donated much of her free time helping find homes for abandoned pets. Sherry is survived by; her husband, Stephen Emmert of the home; her children, Brooke and Rubin Gonzalez of Grain Valley, MO, Matt and Tania Cooley of Independence, MO, Angie and Matt Pinnell of Pleasant Hill, MO and Holly Emmert and her fiancé Brandon Millett of Sugar Creek, MO; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Scott Rowe and wife Caren Thacker of Chicago, IL and her mother and father, Marge and Lee Rowe of Warsaw, MO. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Private inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Buckner, MO. Sherry loved flowers, however, she was truly passionate about her critters, and would have preferred in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Animals Best Friends, P.O.
