Betty Engle

Betty June Engle, 81 of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the chapel. Betty was born May 11, 1926 in Kansas City, MO and has been a lifelong area resident. Betty was a homemaker and avid antique enthusiast. Betty was an active member of the Blue Ridge Assembly of God Church. She was married to E.J. Engle on July 18, 1942, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Cheryl Thornton and her husband James of Pleasant Hill, MO; a son, John Engle and his wife Judy of Independence, MO; 7 grandchildren, Sarah Spinner, Kyle Rustenhaven, Chelsea McMillin, Jayme Thornton, Jeff Engle, Brad Buckley and Shayna Davis and 9 great grandchildren.
