Esther G. (Boden) Douglas, 87 of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Northcare Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Esther was born September 17, 1936 in Montrose, MO one of 11 children to Henry and Louis (Firsick) Boden. She has been a longtime area resident and enjoyed going to family reunions, spending time with her family, dining out and shopping at Walmart. She was catholic by faith attended the catholic church for many years. She is survived by; her husband of 64 years, Dean Douglas of the home; 2 daughters, Debbie Siene of Gladstone, MO and Sharon Sisson of Kansas City,MO; a son, Terry Douglas of Gardner, KS; a sister, Rose Story of Kansas City, MO and 2 grandchildren, Robert Douglas and Jack Sisson.
