Arnold Eyssell

Arnold F. “Arnie” Eyssell, 88, of Buffalo, MO, formerly of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Top of the Ozarks Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse, PO Box 14, Conway, MO 65632. Arnie was born October 17, 1923 in Kansas City, MO to Dr. Henry and May (Hinckley) Eyssell. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Eyssell retired from Standard Oil Refinery in 1982 after 32 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elizabeth “Bettie” Eyssell; daughter Meg Eyssell; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arnie was preceded in death by his brother Henry Eyssell and sisters Janet Knox, Melinda Bullard.
