Charles Fairchild

Charles E. “Charlie” Fairchild, 72, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 surrounded by his family. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Charlie was born October 7, 1939 in Lexington, MO to Orlando and Alta (Williams) Fairchild. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Anita (Davis) Fairchild; children Charles Dale Fairchild and wife Debbie, Daniel Childress, Metta Wickham, Chad Childress and wife Allison; grandchildren Spencer, Dexter, Bailey, Emma, Christopher, Kristen, Jason; great-grandchildren Luke, Kaylee; siblings Kay Welch and husband Bob, Jody Rudy, Wayne Fairchild and wife Donna; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Steven Childress; sister Norma; brothers-in-law Tom, Don.
