Billie L. Ferguson

Billie L. Ferguson, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was 92. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 9th at 2pm, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.

Billie was born October 3, 1930, in Pleasant Hill, MO to William and Bland (Wilson) Ferguson. She graduated William Chrisman High School and went on to have a successful career with TWA as a Data Processor, retiring in 1992. Billie was also a member of the Independence Women’s Civic Club. Billie had a joy for life and an infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed.

Billie is survived by her nephew, Butch Case (Dawn); great-nephew, Sean Lawson (Cynthia); and dear friends/neighbors, Rodney and Melissa Lappat and their children Madison and Stella.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Case and niece, Terri Lawson.
