Warren Ferree, Sr.
April 14, 1935 — August 23, 2009
Warren Clark Ferree, Sr., of Independence, MO passed away August 23, 2009 at the age of 74. A visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 26 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the chapel with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery.
Warren, a licensed engineer in Missouri and Kansas, retired from Armco/Sheffield Steel after 26 years of employment. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed making knives, woodworking, welding, and leather working. He especially enjoyed his daily meetings with the members of the Golden Arches Coffee Club. Warren was a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church/Noland Road Baptist Church for 52 years.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia; daughters Shelly
Ferree (Paul Groff), Stacey Lynch (Kevin); son, Clark Ferree (Terri); twin granddaughters Bailey and Riley Ferree; grandsons Keelen and Kolby Lynch; sister Cindy Nelson; brother Jim Bailey (Cindy); and numerous nieces and nephews. Warren was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Bailey; father Harry Ferree; and brother Luke Bailey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Noland Road Baptist Church, 4505 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64055.
