Loretta Fetters, 75, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 while vacationing in Flagstaff, AZ. Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5-8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Loretta was born April 4, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Emmit and Margaret (Walters) Frawley. She graduated from Lillis Catholic High School in 1950. Mrs. Fetters married Alexander J. Fetters in February of 1955. Loretta was passionate about life. She loved her three sons dearly and her grandchildren were the light of her world. Loretta enjoyed golfing, watching her family play sports, and spending time at the lake in her spare time. She was known as “Sweet Loretta” by her son’s friends! Loretta is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alex Fetters; sons Alex Fetters, Jr. and his wife Cammy, Jeff Fetters, and Greg Fetters; grandchildren Kyle, Kelsey and Jake; by her sister Teresa Donahue; sister-in-law Meta Adams; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Emmit Frawely, Jr.; and by her sister Mary Ellen Markowitz.
