Virginia Firkins

Virginia M. Firkins, 88, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at her home. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount Christian Church. Virginia was born March 8, 1919 in Johns, IA to Harry and Elizabeth (Wilson) Lyons. She was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. Virginia is survived by her son Brian and daughter-in-law Sue Mosby; grandchildren Jill, Alison, Adrienne and Blake Firkins; great-grandchildren Juston Robson, Ella and Ava Berrend; brother Richard Lyons. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Lorrain Firkins in April, 1993.
