Esther Fischer, 93, of Indep., MO passed away Oct. 12, 2015 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. She was born in Emma, MO and lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. Esther retired from General Motors in 1967 after 34 years, and was a member of the GM Fairfax Salaried Retiree’s Club. Esther was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 17200 E 39th St. S, Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents Walther and Ricka Fischer, sister, Luella Ellis and brother, Hobert Fischer. She is survived by two sisters, Irene Weber, Emma, MO and Marie E. Fischer, Kansas City. MO, 3 nieces, Kathleen Sanz and husband Francis, Kansas City, MO, Nancy Grabmiller and husband, Phillip, Mission Viejo, CA, and Sharon Anthony and husband Dennis, Lawrence, KS; three nephews Jerald Weber and wife Barbara Nelson, MO, Kenneth Weber and wife Karen, Sweet Springs, MO, and Lonnie Weber and wife Ann, Emma, MO, as well as great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9am until service time at 10:30 am, Thurs., Oct, 15, 2015, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 17200 E 39th St. S. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO.
