Glen E. "Babe� Fisher, 72, Independence, Mo. died April 8, 2004, at St. Luke�s Hospital. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, April 13, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm, Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice. Babe was born April 28, 1931 in Kansas City, Mo. and lived in Independence since 1939. He attended Bristol Grade School, graduated from Northeast High School and received a degree from Columbia College. He served in the National Guard from 1949 to 1991 and over his career worked at Battery D 129th F.A. Bn., the Pleasant Hill Nike Missile site, the 235th Engineers Bn., and O.M.S., Raytown. He was a member of American Legions Post #21, and the National Assoc. of Watch and Clock. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Caldwell) Fisher, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Maureen A. & James Shockley, Indep., MO; daughter and son-in-law, Debra K. & David Osborne, Blue Springs, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Allen & Michele Fisher, Raytown, MO; son, Kelly Shaun Glen Fisher, Indep., MO; brother and sister-in-law, ElRoy H. & Phyllis J. Danielson, Indep., MO; nephew, Karl M. Danielson and wife, Linda, San Diego, CA; and five grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
