Kenneth George Fisher was born on May 12, 1925 to Fred and Mabel Hannah Fisher in Birsay, Saskatchewan, Canada. Ken passed from this life on February 14, 2008 at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center after a brief illness. Ken is survived by his wife of 59 years, Isabella, his children Jeanne Mann and her husband Greg of Overland Park, Ks, Orval Fisher and his wife Susan of Blue Springs, Mo., June Johnson and her husband Brad of Overland Park, Ks. and Fred Fisher and his wife LuAnn of Garden City, Ks. He is also survived by his sister Iola McNutt of Knoxville, TN and his brother Howard Fisher of Springfield, MO, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends of all ages. Ken was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ and served it as a faithful minister for more than 54 years. Visitation will be at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, Missouri (39th at 291 Highway) on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm. A memorial service will be held at Ridgewood-Pleasant Heights Congregation of the Community of Christ (4341 Blue Ridge Blvd.) on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2pm. Private internment will be at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, Missouri, on Monday, February 18, 2008.
