Florence Louise Aulgur (née Scarcello), age 93, of Independence, Missouri, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on March 15, 2026. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Florence lived a long and faithful life filled with love for her family, devotion to God, and kindness toward everyone she met.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late Theodore C. Aulgur. Together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and strong values.
She worked for many years as a shipping clerk for Vitalab, where she was known for her dedication and reliability until her retirement in 1993.
Florence found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved baking, and making cookies for family, friends, and the St Joseph table. She rarely missed an episode of her favorite game shows.
A woman of deep faith, Florence was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Her faith guided her life, and she carried a quiet strength and love for the Lord that touched everyone who knew her.
Florence will be remembered most for her kindhearted spirit, gentle wisdom, and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her children: Steve Aulgur; Mark Aulgur; Cindy Wiser and son-in-law John; and Joseph Aulgur and daughter-in-law Shawn.
She was a proud grandmother to Michael and his wife Rachel, Melissa, Joshua, Stacie and her husband Donald, Abby, Jack, Billy, Johnny, and Kohl.
Florence was also blessed with many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Judy Scarcello.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore C. Aulgur, her parents John and Rose Scarcello, and her sisters Bonnie Lalumia and JoAnn Gigliotti.
Florence leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will continue to grow through the generations. While her family mourns her passing, they take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in heaven, reunited with loved ones and embraced by the eternal love of Christ.
The funeral will be held at St Mark's Catholic Church 3736 S Lee's Summit Rd, Indep , Mo 64055, Friday, March 20, 2026
Visitation begins at 9:30 am with the mass immediately following.
