Floyd Vernon Corbin

Floyd Vernon Corbin, 86 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Floyd was born July 10, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Floyd A. and Vivian (Blackwell) Corbin and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked for over 36 years as an area freight manager for Sears until his retirement and later worked as a freight manager for Minlow Trucking. He enjoyed photography, traveling, was a pet lover and most of all a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Christ Methodist Church in Independence. He is survived by; his loving wife, Irene (Hogg) of the home; 2 children, Todd Corbin and wife Kim of Blue Springs MO, and Heidi Wadle and husband Shawn of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Dorothy Dankenbring and husband Ron of Independence, MO; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
