Mary Lucille Flynn

Mary Lucille Flynn, 83, passed away at the home of her daughter on Feb. 23, 2004. Services will be 7:30 pm, Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation. Visitation will be 5:30 - 7:30, Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City, 8540 Blue Ridge Blvd., K.C., MO 64138. They are truly angels of mercy. Mrs. Flynn was born May 16, 1920, in Cloudchief, OK, to Zina & Mary (Reed) Greenwood. She lived in Kansas City and Independence all her life and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1938. She began working at Vendo in 1943 during the war and stayed there for 36 years, serving in the Accounting and Payroll Dept. before retiring in 1979. In 1954, she married Daniel Flynn. Lucille loved working, cooking, and taking care of her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Daniel Flynn, in 2003; brothers Claude Greenwood and James Greenwood. She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Green and her husband, Scott Green; granddaughter, Danielle Green; brothers, Louis Greenwood and Leon Greenwood; and sister, Doris Rice.
