Neva Ford

“Neva” Pauline Ford, 87, of Independence, MO passed away on Tuesday, January 06, 2009 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at Protem Cemetery in Protem, MO. Neva was born September 21, 1921 in Protem, MO to Jess and Stella (Terry) Young. She was an active and faithful member of Central Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Ford was a binder for Nazarene Publishing Co. for 20 years. She enjoyed quilting and flower and vegetable gardening in her spare time. Her grandkids were the light of her life! Neva is survived by her daughters Mildred Custis and husband Cleo, Lois Satterfield and husband Glenn, Diann Olmstead, Darlene Gray and husband Richard; brother Ocie Young; sisters Irlma Bray, Bermetia Dean, Hazel Ridinger; brothers Carl Young, Don Young; grandchildren Sheila Jones, Chris Satterfield, Randall Spiers, Kamey Pettit; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Allen Ford; brother James Young; and twin sister Leva Moore.
