Ray Dean Fosberg, 77 of Shell Knob, MO passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. Ray was born August 9, 1938 in Sugar Creek, MO to Ivan and Edith (Beamgard) Fosberg. He worked for Ford Motor Company from 1971-1988 and later from 1991 until his retirement in 2001. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1958-1965 as a Communications Technician. He is survived by; his wife Shelagh “Ann” Fosberg of the home; 2 daughters, Deanna Rae Vaughn and Gina Rene Stevenson; 2 step daughters, Kathy Filbeck and Sandy Thompson; a step son, Shawn Thompson; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
