Lois Foster

Lois H. Foster, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Private inurnment in Floral Hills Cemetery. Lois was born June 27, 1926 in Kansas City, MO to late Herschel and Helen (Cloud) Snorgrass. She spent her career working for the Raytown School district. Mrs. Foster also devoted over forty years volunteering at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital. She was a great family person with a warm sense of hospitality who loved to cook and would never turn down enjoying a cup of tea with you. Mrs. Foster is survived by her grandsons Ben and Bryan Coldwell; granddaughter Amanda Foster; sister Janet Demyan and husband Alex; half-sister Etta Roush. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Henry Foster; daughter and son-in-law Janet and Robert Coldwell; son Larry Foster; half-sister Geraldine Batchelor.
