Roland "Rick" Foster

Roland Frederick “Rick” Foster, 78, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Rick was born February 5, 1933 in Elyria, OH, the son of Robert Joseph and Alice Maybelle (Fell) Foster. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. Rick retired from Dit-Mco International. He was a lifelong resident in the Independence area and spent the past 5 years in the Van Buren area.
Rick was preceded in death by his son, Raymond F. Foster; sister, Roberta Yost and his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife Evelyn Foster of 52 years; daughters, Lori LaRoche and husband Tim, Leslie Luther and her companion Dick Minks; son, Richard Foster and wife Dawn; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Norma “Pat” Smith; brother, Bruce Foster and wife Joan; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
