Frances OIeta McKinney

November 22, 1927 — July 15, 2024

Buckner

In the loving memory of Frances Oleta McKinney, a delightful soul who graced this world with her presence for 96 years. Frances, known for her elegant touch as a florist for many years before dedicating herself to the beautiful responsibility of being a homemaker, has left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Frances was born on November 22, 1927, in Batesville, AR, to her parents Allen Woodford Luster and Fannie Bell (Harmon) Luster. She was a beacon of love and care throughout her life, touching the hearts of all those around her with her warm and nurturing personality. One of Frances's greatest joys in life was spending time with her beloved family, particularly her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchild. The memories created with them will forever be cherished and remembered fondly. Frances also devoted her life to serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through serving others.

Aside from being a devoted family woman and Christian, Frances had a myriad of interests that brought her immense joy. She had a passion for crocheting, quilting, and sewing, crafting beautiful dresses for all her granddaughters. Her culinary skills were renowned among friends and family, with her chocolate rolls and cornbread being absolute crowd-pleasers. Her green thumb extended to her love for flowers like stargazer lilies, irises, and snowball bushes. Together with her husband Bill, she explored the joys of traveling after his retirement.

Frances leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through generations. She is survived by her children, Janice Christopher, Billy McKinney and wife Candy, Connie Rincker and husband Glenn Glasco, and Teresa Spaun; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill McKinney; daughter, Linda Vaughn; parents, Allen and Fannie Luster; two sisters, Merle Blackwell and Ludean Lawson; two brothers, George Luster and Bill Luster; and four sons-in-law, Dale Christopher, Jim Rincker, Charles Vaughn, and Mark Spaun.
