Dorothy F. Frank, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Dorothy was born July 31, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to Virgil and Cleo Alma (Rogers) Faulkner. She was involved as a den mother for her sons cub scouts, past president of the PTA, member of Job’s Daughters and DAR. Mrs. Frank purchased a cabin at the lake with her husband in 1954 and enjoyed water skiing, fishing, and playing cards. Dorothy was an avid bowler twice a week until her health started failing. She was a volunteer at local elementary schools in their reading program. Dorothy is survived by her son Tom Frank and wife Kay; daughters Lynda Bagley and husband Frank, Jo Ann McKnight; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; cousin Jack Faulkner; and her best friend Mary Lamanno. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Frank and son Roger Frank.
