Beyond his professional accomplishments, Franz was a devoted family man, cherishing his family. He wore many hats ensuring that love and laughter permeated the family gatherings throughout the years. Franz is survived by his wife Lynne Nelson; son, Clint (Leigh Ann) Nelson; step daughters, Kimberly (Juan) Camara, Tiffany (Brian) Loomis; his adored grandchildren, Nicole Nelson, Natalie Nelson, Sawyer Loomis, Carly Loomis, Lennon Camara, Lucca Camara; brother, Calvin Nelson; sister, Phillis Davison. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Edward and Julia (Meinecke) Nelson; sisters, Geraldene Pittenger, Bernice Volner, Dorothy Miller.
