Joy Camelle Freeman, 42, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 at her home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Camelle was born March 7, 1966 in Independence, MO to William O. and Bertie M. (Winfrey) Willis. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1984 where she was active in basketball and volleyball. Camelle was passionate about her kids and her family meant the world to her. Her favorite hobby was fishing. Mrs. Freeman was known for her sweet personality. Camelle is survived by her husband of 16 years, Steve Freeman; son Tyler Freeman, daughter Kelsey Freeman, step-daughter Stacy Freeman; her parents Bud and Bertie Willis; sister Chris Waters; brother Stan Willis; mother-in-law Helen Freeman; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
