Frenda Kay
Adams
Apr 26, 1954 — Jul 15, 2026
Independence
Frenda Kay Adams, age 72, was born on April 26, 1954, in Neon, Kentucky, and passed away on July 15, 2026, in Independence, Missouri.
Frenda loved to laugh, joke, and make those around her smile. She had a feisty spirit when the moment called for it, or when it didn't, she was known for her generous heart and caring nature. Helping others gave her purpose, and she was a natural caretaker who touched many lives through her kindness.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, including sewing, playing cards, swearing, driving fast cars and dirt bikes, dirty jokes, drinking coffee, standing up for people, making sure you are accountable, teaching you to chase the worm but to know the consequences, living on the edge but to know when to take a step back, how to talk sh*t and back it up, gardening, cheering on Duke basketball, and spending time with her grandchildren creating magical fairy gardens and passing on family traditions. Frenda was also a proud Red Hatter and enjoyed the friendships and fun that came with being part of the Red Hat Society.
Frenda and James were childhood sweethearts who began their life together in Kentucky before moving to Indiana and then Missouri. Their love and commitment to one another remained a constant throughout the years.
Frenda’s passing is preceded by her parents, Clayton and Nana Lou Anderson; her beloved husband, James Randall Adams, and her grandchildren, Andrew Adams and Isabella Lady Marie Adams. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through their children, James Michael Adams (Cinthia), Ronald Dewayne Adams (Amanda), Chancie Clayton Adams (Amanda), and Amber Shay Sage (Josh); her grandchildren, Christiana Adams, Evelyn Adams, Carson Adams, Ava Adams, Olivia Sage, Aria Adams, and Ethan Sage; and her companion, Dave Anders.
