Marcia Joyce Friend, 69, of Higginsville, MO passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO.
Born on October 11, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Friend and Esther Arlene (Chappelow) Friend. Marcia was a resident of the Higginsville Habilitation Center where she was loved dearly by her staff “family” and friends. People who knew Marcia had to be quick on their feet because when she moved, she moved fast. She enjoyed laying on her sofa with her magazines, long van rides, her moo moos (lounge dresses), and staff. Marcia had a unique personality with a host of rituals she performed faithfully every day and all day long.
Marcia is survived by her staff family from Higginsville, her sisters: Carolyn Friend, Sylvia Heinzle, and Debra Harring.
She was proceeded in death by her parents.
