Mary Lou Fussell, 81, South Kansas City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Villa St. Francis, Olathe, KS.
Mary was born June 13, 1927 in Orchard, NE, the daughter of John and Mary (Springer) Sands. She was a homemaker. Mary enjoyed gardening, fishing and bowling with her husband and she especially loved her family.
She married Douglas James Fussell on July 1, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Fussell in 2002, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Price and her husband Ron of Kansas City, MO; son John Fussell and his wife Margo of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Cathy Blair, Emily Fussell, Stacy Six, Adam Price, Joshua Fussell, Jeremy Fussell and Hayley Price and 4 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, February 2, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Church, 1401 NE 42nd Terr, Kansas City, MO. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Neighbor to Neighbor Program.
