Virginia Lee Gailey (Gibson)

Virginia L. Gailey, 89, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 13, 2015. Services will be 2 pm, Sunday, Dec. 20 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020
E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Great Plains SPCA, 21001 MO-78, Independence, MO 64057. Virginia was born Nov. 13, 1926 and graduated from Hastings (NE) High School. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ for over forty-three years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, yard work and gardening. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Virginia is survived by daughters Carol Gailey, Carlsbad, CA; Jody Talbott and husband Doug, Olathe, KS; Lisa Gailey and fiancée Curtis Goodwin, Independence, MO; grandchildren Courtney Clapham, Lee’s Summit, MO; Sean Rogers and fiancée Ashley Rogers, Blue Springs, MO; Garrett Clapham, Lee’s Summit, MO; great-grandchildren Hudsyn and Lennon.
