Daniel Gallagher

Daniel W. Gallagher, 82, of Grain Valley, MO died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 27, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Daniel was born in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Delia (Coll) Gallagher. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and retired from the Department of Defense. He was a member of New Walnut Park Community of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mary Gallagher; four brothers; and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Rita; sons, Daniel (Kerri) Gallagher and Anthony Gallagher; one daughter, Margaret Kelly (Tim); six grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Outreach International or Crossroads Hospice.
